On Saturday, April 20th, all are invited to join the Ventura Land Trust to help prepare the property for future public use. Harmon Canyon suffered significant fire damage and invasive grasses are trying to out compete the native species for the prime real-estate.
Ventura Land Trust is currently in the escrow for this fantastic preserve, this process could take over a year before we can purchase the property. In the meantime, there is plenty of work to be done! We will be working on clearing brush to reduce fire hazards and building trails for the public to enjoy once we have our grand opening.
All volunteers should wear pants, long sleeves, closed-toe shoes, and don't forget sunscreen and a water bottle! We will have water for refills available. We provide the tools; you provide the enthusiasm!
