Harmon Canyon Campaign

Give Today, Explore Forever

When Ventura Land Trust acquired Harmon Canyon and opened it to the public in June 2020, it made a promise to current and future generations of Ventura County residents that the land would be protected in perpetuity. Ventura Land Trust's $11.6 million capital campaign for Harmon Canyon Preserve has reached a defining milestone: only $1 million remains to fulfill the campaign's goals for preserve amenities and an endowment that will provide stewardship support in perpetuity.

Ventura Land Trust is pleased to launch the final, public phase of the capital campaign for Harmon Canyon Preserve. With your support, Ventura Land Trust will install amenities to enhance visitors' experience of the preserve, expand Harmon Canyon's network of trails, and fund an endowment for the long-term care of the land. Members of the public are invited to join Ventura Land Trust in the stewardship of Harmon Canyon Preserve for the benefit of the wildlife and the people who need and enjoy open spaces. Gifts from individuals, foundations and businesses are gratefully being accepted in support of the Harmon Canyon Campaign, and naming opportunities are available.

Donors who contribute a gift of $1,000 or more toward the Harmon Canyon Campaign by November 1 will be acknowledged with a personalized leaf on an onsite Legacywall. This breathtaking iron art installation by local artist Tyronne McGrath depicts the plants and animals found in the hills of Ventura. Crafted by hand, the personalized iron leaves will form a beautiful legacy wall for all visitors to admire upon entering the preserve.
