Live Bands at the Wild and Scenic Film Festival

Get Ready to Rock at the 9th Annual Wild and Scenic Film Festival!

This year Ventura Land Trust is thrilled to welcome two live bands to help kick of the festivities at the 2018 Wild and Scenic Film Festival. Get ready to rock out as these talented musicians entertain the crowd before the films begin showing at 8 PM. This year's lineup includes:

Bill Jones & J. Peter Boles

These two accomplished singer/songwriters, whose music has won awards and been featured on television, are honored to return once again to the Wild and Scenic Film Festival. Bill is a founding member of Blind Horse Canyon, an acoustic band from Southern California and Peter is a well traveled, story0telling minstrel from the Ojai Valley. Bill and Peter have played clubs, coffee houses and festivals across the state. They combine their talents to create a lively mix of originals and class folk songs in the American tradition.

Mid Life Crisis

Mid Life Crisis, a Ventura-based cover band, plays familiar songs from the 60's through the new millennium. Chances are, if you know the song, they know the song. Their loyal fans faithfully follow them to Ventura County restaurants, breweries and bars to dance the night away to a set list comprised of great songs spanning more than 50 years.

The six talented musicians that make up Mid Life Crisis are:

  • Patrick Simpson - Lead guitar
  • Steve Mikkelson - Drums
  • Mike Bryson - Rhythm guitar and back-up vocals
  • Michael Slater - Vocals
  • Craig Smith - Bass
  • Bob Selvin - Keyboards and saxophone

Put on your dancing shoes and come early.

We're having one big dance party on the lawn!
