SUPPORT THOMAS FIRE RECOVERY
December's massive Thomas Fire impacted our community in so many devastating ways - including dramatically changing the landscape surrounding our town. Not only did hundreds of people lose their homes and memories, thousands of acres of critical wilderness and wildlife habitat were also lost. At the Big Rock Preserve, an area of scenic trails, an abundance of wildlife and thousands of beautiful plants and trees, was transformed into blackened branches, damaged trails, ashes and soot. Although the land was scarred, we know that nature's wounds heal over time.
We are assisting Mother Nature with the healing process at Big Rock. With the help of dedicated volunteers, we have embarked on a long-term fire restoration project of replanting, rebuilding and rising from the ashes. With your help, we will bring Big Rock more beautiful and better than ever!
