The Ventura Hillsides Conservancy is teaming up with United Way Ventura County for their annual "Day of Caring." We are looking for 35 volunteers to assist with cleaning, clearing and maintaining the Ventura River Estuary. Volunteers will cut back and pull out invasive plants and will work on maintaining the established walking preserve trails. This project is for Adolescents (13-17) and Adults. Volunteers should wear closed toed sturdy shoes, a sun hat, sunscreen, and bring gardening gloves.
Location: We meet next to the Main St. Bridge along the bike path near downtown Ventura (at Main St. & Peking St.). Please wear pants, long sleeves, sturdy closed-toe shoes, and don't forget sunscreen and water!
