Ventura River Nature Walk

AdrienneandJesshiking.JPG

Join Ventura Hillsides Conservancy (VHC) biologists for an easy 1-mile nature walk along the banks of the Ventura River. We will identify native plants, animals and birds and showcase areas where environmental restoration is taking place. VHC has spent four years cleaning, clearing and restoring this beautiful habitat. Our goal is to introduce local residents to this unique ecosystem and encourage more visitors to explore and enjoy the area!

Meet VHC staff at 10 a.m. next to the Main St. Bridge along the bike path near downtown Ventura (at Main St. & Peking Streets). We will gather next to the Conservancy's beautiful new informational kiosk and then walk down on our Willoughby Nature Preserve. Please wear pants, long sleeves, closed-toe shoes, and don't forget sunscreen and water!

At the end of the walk, a light lunch will be served. This event is free to the public but RSVPs are highly encouraged!
