Ventura River to the Sea Cleanup Event

Ventura Land Trust, the Ventura Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation, and Runners For Public Lands are teaming up to host the our Annual Ventura River to the Sea Coastal Cleanup. Volunteers from both organizations are invited to join us as we clean up trash from Ventura River estuary near the Ventura County Fairgrounds.

We will gather together at 9 am in the Ventura County Fairgrounds dirt lot and fan out into the estuary to clean, clear and beautify the area. Our goal is to clear out as much trash as possible from the estuary BEFORE the rainy season begins and washes the trash onto nearby beaches and into the ocean.

All volunteers should wear long pants, long sleeves, close-toed shoes, a hat and sunscreen. Children younger than 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult. We will provide trash pickers, trash bags and supervision. You provide the manpower!

All minors under age 18 must submit a volunteer agreement form signed by their parent prior to volunteering.
