At Ventura Land Trust, we are grateful to have an extraordinarily strong volunteer base! We invite you to join our community of enthusiastic volunteers who share a passion for protecting open space and the environment. As a small, grassroots organization, volunteers are integral to our success. You can help with projects from our working on land at our preserves to helping out in office to everything in between. We also have a limited number of internships for those who are able to commit to a minimum of 4 hours per week. Thanks for your interest!

Preserve Docent
Docents help develop a responsible recreation culture and conservation mind-set at Big Rock and Harmon Canyon preserves. These nature preserves have been acquired by Ventura Land Trust to preserve and provide public access to the surrounding community. We need docents to help educate visitors about the rules and regulations of the preserves they are enjoying and inspire our community to be stewards of these lands for future generations.
Special Events
We’re looking for people who can help with setup, check-in, ticket sales, beer pouring, merchandise sales, and especially cleanup.
We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers who share our passion for protecting open space and the environment. If you are interested in joining our efforts please sign up below, or contact [email protected]. Our Volunteer Events are fun, informative, and full of interesting people.
