On Saturday, April 27th, the 6th annual Ventura Eco Xtreme Mud Challenge will be presented by the Ventura Police Officers’ Association and hosted by Ventura Land Trust. This year, VPD and VLT are teaming up to present this family-fun event at a new location - Harmon Canyon Preserve.
VLT is looking for 12 volunteers to help us with set-up, tabling, beer serving (must RBS certified) and break-down.We have two shifts available. Please RSVP for the time that works best for you. Note that all beer servers must have a current RBS (Responsible Beverage Serving) certification.
8:00 - 10:30: Set-up and Tabling
10:30 - 1:30: Beer serving, Tabling and Break Down
Although not yet open to the public, Eco Xtreme Mud Challenge participants will get a sneak peak of beautiful Harmon Canyon - the property that will soon become Ventura's premiere place to hike, bike, enjoy nature and (once a year) run through a muddy obstacle course!
The goal of this event is to create a fun and challenging adventure while raising money for the Dee Dowell Foundation. Join us in this wild and crazy adventure at the new Harmon Canyon Preserve off Foothill Rd at Kimball Rd.
In addition to opening the preserve to the public for this special event, Ventura Land Trust also has coordinated the participation of food trucks and will have beer and soft drinks available for purchase after the race. Come for the challenge, stay awhile afterward and celebrate your success!
