YOUTH LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Gain hands-on experience in early childhood and outdoor education this summer! Ventura Wild offers two ways to grow your skills, connect with nature, and make a difference in kids’ lives. Both opportunities are for ages 16+ and provide professional development and practical experience.

Youth leaders receive training materials, a Ventura Wild shirt, and take part in our summer staff training.
Volunteer Position
Accepting Applications March 12
Join Ventura Wild as a summer volunteer and assist one of our week-long camps. Collaborate with three experienced outdoor educators to guide a small group of 12 participants (5–7 hours per day), fostering exploration, play, and meaningful connections in the wild landscapes of Ventura County.
Transportation: Reliable transportation required
Compensation: Unpaid

Ventura Wild is a partnered host site with Ventura County's NextGen program, an initiative that equips young residents with skills, training, and career preparation. Interns gain hands-on experience supporting 3–4 week-long summer camps while building meaningful connections and exploring environmental career pathways.
Compensation: $19/hr, 150+ paid working hours
