A Rite of Passage is a ceremonial celebration marking an important transition in a person's life. For youth, it honors the shift from childhood into adolescence, cultivating a stronger sense of identity, confidence, and connection to community.
Who am I now? Who am I becoming? How do I want to grow?
Through a supportive small-group community, participants will build confidence, self-awareness, independence, and meaningful connections with themselves, each other, and the natural world.

Rite of Passage for female-identifying youth
Stepping Stones, Rite of Passage for Female-Identifying Youth
Six-Month Journey | January 2027 – June 2027
Ages 10.5 - 12
Offered in collaboration by Ventura Wild and Thrive Wellness Workshop, Stepping Stones is a six-month journey designed to support female-identifying youth through this transformative stage. Rooted in nature, ceremony, mentorship, and authentic relationships, the program provides a meaningful space for self-discovery, resilience, and belonging.

Families are invited to attend an Introduction to Stepping Stones session in November 2026 to experience the program before committing to the full journey.
COMING SOON! Rite of Passage for male-identifying youth
A new Rite of Passage experience is coming to Ventura Wild in early 2027!
We will be launching a Rite of Passage program for male-identifying youth and their families in the new school year. Like our Stepping Stones program, this experience will create space for young people to explore identity, confidence, connection, responsibility, and the transition into adolescence through meaningful experiences in nature and community.
