Led by two incredible VLT Ambassadors, Kris and Terri, our Wildlife Habitat Improvement Program (WHIP) removes invasive species and improves native habitat in Lower Harmon Canyon. Get involved and be a part of protecting Harmon’s natural beauty.

How To Sign Up:

  1. View our volunteer calendar here or click sign up below.

  2. Look for “WHIP at Harmon Canyon”, pick your date(s), and sign up.

  3. Be sure to complete the Volunteer Agreement before attending your first volunteer day.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No prior experience is needed, and our wonderful volunteer leads will train anyone who needs it. We will provide gloves and hand tools, please bring water and your own gloves if possible. Closed-toed shoes and long pants are required.

  • Short answer—yes! We have plenty of kiddos join in at WHIP on a regular basis.

    Please ensure all children under 16 are accompanied by an adult. All youth participating need to have completed our Volunteer Waiver with parental/guardian consent.

  • Yes, we have plenty of group volunteers attend WHIP—the more the merrier! If you plan on volunteering in a group, please be sure to have every individual sign up, and email volunteer@venturalandtrust.org with your date(s) and group size so we know to expect you.
