Emily joined Ventura Land Trust in August 2023. Originally from the Texas Hill Country, she has always valued the community and natural landscapes that shaped her early experiences. Her interest in conservation was sparked by time spent exploring the outdoors.

Prior to joining the VLT team, Emily served as a Peace Corps Volunteer, where she worked on education and environmental projects. Afterward, she earned a Master’s in Public Administration from Texas A&M University.

In her free time, you can find Emily running down at the beach, running around with her pup Winnie, or enjoying some time out in Harmon.
